Here we have a NOS(New Old Stock) Starter Housing for a vintage Echo chainsaw. I am NOT 100% certain what model it fits, it LOOKS very similar in design and size to a used one I have for a CS-702VL, But it does NOT have the hole or “slot” that the choke lever goes through on the rear edge of the starter housing on the701 and 702 models. I believe the 601 and 602 models had a different choke location than the 701 and 702 so I THINK this cover is for a CS-601 or CS-602″, BUT- that is all I have to go on to suggest it fits that model, I do not have the part number. This cover was obtained in a lot of nos Echo parts I got, it does NOT have any packaging, but it shows no signs of having ever been installed on a saw. It does have dust, some light scratches and minor chips,due to lying loose on shelf for a long time. It also has some minor rust/oxidation on the starter post(see pictures #6,#7 and #8) that probably would need to be sanded smooth for smooth pulley operation. It is not broken.
