Here we have a USED O.E.M. Engine Assembly from a Stihl MS-170 Chainsaw,SOLD FOR PARTS OR NOT WORKING. Includes good flywheel, and ignition module, module made spark when spinning engine over with a drill. The Crankshaft turns freely, and the ends do not look damaged. The Piston and Cylinder are not scored. The saw this engine came from was partially disassembled and not running when I got it, I do not know why it was disassembled, but I assume it was not running. Since I do not know what was wrong with the saw, I am Selling this Engine AS PARTS NOT WORKING, I am NOT selling this as something you can just bolt on the missing parts and make a running saw. I do not know the condition of the crankshaft seals, etc. The top piston ring has a small spot of rust on it, so if I were rebuilding this engine, I would at least install a set of new piston rings. Also, there is a small piece broken off one of the top fins(see picture #11). Please Look at the Pictures.
