Here we have a USED OEM Mahle 42mm Cylinder from a Husqvarna 242XP Chainsaw. No Broken Fins. Bore has streaks from normal wear, AND, it has some gouges around transfer ports. THESE GOUGES WILL HAVE TO BE CLEANED UP BEFORE USE. Please See Pictures. Spark Plug Threads look good, as do the Threads in the Muffler Bolt Holes. There is also a cut mark across one of the muffler bolt holes, likely from someone slotting a broken muffler bolt for removal (see pictures). It is Not a crack.Threads look o.k. Has some Dirt and Grime from Use. No Mounting Hardware. Closed-Port Mahle Cylinder, Originally from a model 242XP. Also,This Cylinder/Piston is not original to, but will fit, models 42, 42 Special, and 246 (NOT 346XP!). An experienced cylinder porter should be able to clean this cylinder up.
