USED Gearbox/Gearhead for Green Machine (HMC)Trimmers, From a 3000M?, 3000J? Trimmer, Not Sure. IMPORTANT: THIS HAS 9 SPLINE DRIVE. PLEASE NOTE- SOME HAVE 7 SPLINE DRIVE. CHECK THE BOTTOM END OF YOUR DRIVESHAFT AND MAKE IT HAS 9 SPLINES BEFORE PURCHASE. Has left-handed fine metric thread female mounting for arbor. This head has the 2-piece split housing.Please make sure it matches your old gearhead before purchase.Please note-Green Machine had several different Model 3000 trimmers, that were quite different from each other over the years. They had different engines, shafts, and gearheads, some of which are not interchangeable. Some may have used the same gearheads,and some models may have used more than one style/type of gearhead.That is why it is important to match this up to your old gearhead. This Gearhead LOOKS like one from a 3000M on the outside, But I have seen ones that look exactly like this that have 7 splines instead of 9. It may be from a 3000M, 3000J, or some other version 3000 Green Machine Trimmer. I am NOT sure, as it was already removed from Trimmer when I got it. This is a Genuine O.E.M. Green Machine(HMC) part.
